Abstract

A rotor filter is a phase optical element whose complex transmission function argument depends in a linear fashion upon the polar angle. The rotor filter has been shown to be applied to optically differentiating the coherent light fields, possessing a rotational symmetry; forming arbitrary order Bessel beams being the modes of free space; reconstructing the phase of the light field with rotational symmetry from the spectrum intensity data.
