Abstract
Regimes for preparation of the textile oiling agents “paraffin emulsion,” No. 1, and direct oiling agent No. 39′ were developed and the optimum rates and duration of mixing were selected as a result of industrial tests of 63-liter and 2 m3 RJM installations for one year at the Berdyansk Glass Fibre Plant. The advantage of preparation of oiling agents in RJM installations due to a two-fold decrease in the preparation time and the possibility of obtaining a quality oiling agent at lower emulsification temperatures (under 70o) was demonstrated, and the quality indexes of the oiling agent with respect to dispersion and stability were improved. Rejects in unwinding of 6.8 tex glass fibre were reduced by 18%.
