Abstract

It is shown that a model of a superfluid Fermi liquid with triplet Cooper pairing in the case of strong spin-orbit coupling gives rise, for some superfluid phases, to the same rotational spectra of nuclei as the cranking model and/or a model of a variable moment of inertia. An ability of these models to describe superdeformed bands in the A approximately 190 region is demonstrated.
