Abstract
The rotational dependence of Franck-Condon factors has been calculated for OH +, NH +, SiH, MgH +, SiH +, and NO + using the rotating Morse oscillator model. A rotational dependence is noticed in the electronic bands of each of these molecular species; this dependence may make a significant contribution in the determination of rotational temperatures, abundances and opacity distribution functions.
