Abstract

The 1H NMR study demonstrated that the transoid conformation of dihalogenated derivatives of cobalt bis(dicarbollide) [8,8′-X2-3,3′-Co(1,2-C2B9H10)2]− (X = Cl, Br, I), stabilized by intramolecular $$\text{C} - \text{H} \cdots \text{X}$$ hydrogen bonds between ligands, is retained in solution.
