Abstract

Rotational behavior of fluorescein sodium salt (FL) dissolved in a critical binary liquid mixture of 2,6-lutidine+water (LW) was investigated by the steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence depolarization measurements. It was found that FL molecule motion is slowed down near the critical point of LW. Two different rotational motion modes of FL molecule were observed.
