Abstract
SummaryTwo phloridzin breakdown products, phloroglucinol and phloretic acid, more than doubled the proportion of M.7 apple rootstock shoots which rooted when cultured in vitro with auxins. Caffeic acid, catechol and pyrogallol did not significantly increase rooting.
