Abstract

We have investigated room temperature magnetoelectric coupling of 0.4Zn0.3Ni0.7Fe2O4 - 0.6PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3 multiferroic nanocomposite prepared through low temperature pyrophoric chemical process and solid state route. Multiferroic magnetoelectric (ME) composite have gained lots of interest from past few years due to its potential applications in magnetic field sensors device applications. The structural characterization has been carried out through x- ray diffraction technique, which reveals simultaneous existence of both the phases of nanomatric grains. The value of magnetoelectric coefficient in transverse and longitudinal configurations is found to ∼ 3.7 and ∼ 3.2 mV/cmOe, respectively. The observed magnetoelectric effect is may be due to magnetostriction of the sample.
