Abstract
The room temperature compression textures of Ti-46A1-2V alloy were determined by a modified maximum entropy method, in which two texture components, < hk0] and 10 ° from < 101], both parallel to the compression axis, were evident. The deformation mechanisms of γ-TiAl were discussed with the help of texture simulations (Taylor Viscoplastic Model) by considering both slip and twinning systems.
