Abstract

When the Ronchi or Hartmann tests are applied to optical surfaces, it is necessary to simulate its ideal patterns. From the geometrical point of view, they are calculated through the equation of the reflected ray from the surface under test. However, in general, the equation is the same for both tests and this only changes in the parameters that define the position and form of the blocking filter plane, known as the Ronchi ruling and the Hartmann screen, and the observation planes. Then it must be concluded that the concepts and the theory are the same for both types of tests. From this general point of view, it is possible to obtain as particular cases the tests of Null Ronchi, Null Ronchi Hartmann and Null Hartmann. For the general case we have simulated the Ronchigrams of the off-axis conic sections.
