Abstract
Neste ensaio, o autor elabora uma crítica da ficção moderna e analisa o artista romântico como aquele que coloca em evidência valores ideais que o homem pode se esforçar para alcançar. Concentrando sua análise no romance A Revolta de Atlas, de Ayn Rand, o autor sustenta o argumento de que se trata de um exemplo significativo de ficção romântica que apresenta valores passíveis de implementação concreta, ao mesmo tempo em que apresenta um conteúdo filosófico explícito.
