Abstract

Question: A 27-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because of recurrent acute pancreatitis for3 years. Upper abdominal computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging revealed a very regular sphere in the dilated pancreatic duct (Figure A, B). The computed tomographic value of the sphere was lower than that of the pancreatic parenchyma. The composition of the sphere was unclear; it may be a radiolucent pancreatic stone, polyp in the pancreatic duct, or some others. Therefore, endoscopic retrograde pancreatography (ERP) was performed.
