Abstract
A majority of experimental mouse models of asthma reflect acute airway inflammation induced by specific antigen [e.g. ovalbumin (OVA)] in sensitized animals. Because chronic airway inflammation is a distinct feature of human asthma, we sought to develop a mouse model to mimic the pathology and elucidate the immunological mechanisms.
