Abstract

Among the biophysical events associated with insulin release, the translocation of secretory granules and their access to the exocytotic site are thought to be controlled by a microtubular-microfilamentous system. Only limited information is available on the enzymes involved in these mechanical events. This report deals with the possible role of transglutaminase in the secretory process.
