Abstract
In this letter, a very simple and low-complex method is proposed for direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation. While most of the existing DOA estimators are based on the statistical properties of the received signals (e.g., covariance matrix), the proposed method directly uses the observations. The normalized least mean squares adaptive algorithm makes the fundamental of the method. All directions are estimated one after another. The method outperforms its current counterparts from computational complexity point of view. Some simulation scenarios are presented to show the performance of the proposed method.
