Abstract
This paper studies the role of mutations in the SNCA gene and explores gene therapy. It ialso studies the role of Alpha-Synuclein pathology in the progression of Parkinson's Disease and assesses the therapeutic potential of administration of the glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) gene through adeno-associated virus type 2 (AAV2).
