Abstract
In appearance of expressive and emotional lexicon onomasticon is of great importance, Under the influence a number of extra-linguistic factors numerous toponyms, etnonyms and other onomastic units in the English language have got emotional stylistic meanings thereby enriching English idiomatic lexicon. Onomastic metaphors are also significant linguistic units in training emotionally coloured English words. Stylistically coloured English onomasticon covers toponyms, anthroponyms and ethnonyms, with extra-linguistic factors have got various emotional and expressive meanings that have become a rich source of English stylistics.
