Abstract

Training of rats to the effect of interrupted high altitude results in the increase in total activity of lysosomal enzymes of acid DNase, RNase and phosphatase of the myocardium. The activity of the “bound” fraction of the enzymes is increased most. The resistance of lysosomal systems of the heart in adapted animals to the effects of acute hyperfunction and of isoproterenol administration is increased; the activity of the three lysosomal enzymes decreases to a much lesser extent than in the non-adapted animals.
