Abstract
Perianal stulas are a common problem encountered in proctology. They are dened as abnormal communications between the anal canal or rectum and the perianal skin. The incidence of perianal stulas has been estimated to be around 1 in 10,000 people. There are many different types of perianal stulas, including simple and complexstulas1. Simple stulas can usually be treated with conservative measures, while complex stulas require more aggressive treatment. The lift procedure is a relatively new surgical technique that has been developed for the treatment of complex perianal stulas. In this retrospective analysis, we will examine the role of the lift procedure in the treatment of complex perianal stulas2
