Abstract

This paper discusses the role played by the protection of intellectual property rights on the economy of the country as a whole. It takes examples of the weak and strong intellectual property protection countries to come to the conclusion as what is the optimum level of protection a country should implement to generate maximum economic benefit from the Intellectual Properties protected by it, so that it serves the need of the people without hindering the rights of the intellectual property owners.
