Abstract

1. The inhibitory influence of emotional stress on the sexual activation induced by the presence of a receptive female is effectuated by a GABAergic mechanism. 2. The blocking effect of the GABAergic system is realized via the excitation, at least partially, of the GABAA receptors. 3. This mechanism may have adaptive significance in natural conditions.
