Abstract

Since January 1988, 18 male and 9 female patients aged 33 to 66 years were submitted to percutaneous ultrasound-guided needle puncture and aspiration of renal cysts. Thereafter, 11 patients were treated with librin glue, 5 patients with alcohol, and 11 patients with alcohol and then fibrin glue. Followup ranged from 6 to 24 months. Fibrin glue after sclerosing treatment with alcohol gave the best results, with complete responses in 45% of cases, and partial response in the remaining patients.
