ROLE OF FAMILY ENVIRONMENT IN DISCOVERING AND DEVELOPING GIFTED CHILDREN

Abstract

Study aims to identify the importance of early detection inside the family and its role as a family environment that interact with the child talented in terms of care, participation, guide, methods of treatment to ensure its continuation and development and prevent the causes of its hindering or foiling. Also, it aims to identify the nature of the differences between gifted children in different age, sex, order of birth, level of achievement and academic and some of variables like the economic, social and educational level of the family and the increasing age of mothers and their ability to discover talented. The study sample consisted of 70 mother of a gifted child at age 8 - 12-years. Their level of intelligence of 130 or above and the level of their achievement are privilege and very good. The study has been applied in a questionnaire which includes some of variables for children and other variables for family and mothers and also the indicators of family care and the methods of treatment in addition to the knowledge requirements. The study proves the differences between the degrees of female and male for the methods of parents treatment in USA and it goes for the females at the level of significance (0.01). Also, it found significant differences among age groups and between the methods of parents treatment sign at a level (0.01). As the results revealed the existence of differences the level of achievement among all indicators of total talent and methods of treatment of genetic parents at the same level of significance. The results showed the existence of differences between the economic level and age level for mothers and family welfare indicators also found differences between educational level and between each of the indicators of care and knowledge requirements for mothers at the level of significance (0.05). As it evidenced by the results and there is a correlation between the ability to discover talented mother and between each of the indicators of mental and indicators of total talent and oversight and guidance at the level of significance (0.01) and between the indicators of social ,emotional and physical indicators at the level of significance(0.05). One of the most important recommendations of the study families' insight into the importance of early detection and the importance of the role that they play in the care and development of gifted children. Hence the interest in contacting the families of gifted friction , the urged governments , private bodies and international bodies to take care of the families of gifted physically and morally.
