Abstract
AbstractThe phenomenon of valence transition is investigated on the basis of a model which incorporates the electron‐phonon interaction induced hybridisation between f and d bands. Finite temperature specific heat, magnetic intersite spin correlations are also studied. It is shown that strong EP interaction makes the first‐order transition possible. A comparison is also made with results obtained previously.
