Abstract

This review study was performed using the keywords such as zooprophylaxis, blood-sucking vectors, environment, animals, disease, ecosystem and control. Seventy-two articles published between 1970 and 2021, were found in the databases SID, Ovid Medline, Web of Science, and Pub Med. Among them, the qualified scientific sources were analyzed. The role of animals in nature and the environment around human habitats is unique in attracting blood-sucking vectors. In order to reduce the problems caused by public health pests and control them in human communities, preserving and caring for wild animals have lasting natural effects and are of great importance as a suitable alternative to chemical control programs. Being bitten by blood-sucking vectors can be prevented through improving human dwellings and personal protection. Animals are one of the main pillars of nature and ecosystems. Without them, the functioning of the ecological system will be disrupted. Human health and hygiene will be provided better and more easily by guarding and respecting these precious assets.
