Abstract

We propose a method which explicitly takes into account the strength of on-site Coulomb interactions to calculate the effective mass of carrier fermions in the intermetallics off and non-f atoms. Calculations of a number of heavy-fermion systems show a satisfactory trend of variation of effective carrier fermion mass.
