Abstract

Work-life conflict nowadays becomes major debate in perspective of both employee and organization because of the increased stress in the highly competitive milieu. Earlier empirical researches done with respect to antecedents of work-life, work-life balance policies, impact of long working hours and work overload. Lot of empirical research evidence shows that perceived stress predict increase in work-life conflict which in turn leads to decrease in terms of work-life balance. In this researcher examine the arbitrator role of 8 coping strategies (Confrontive Coping, Distancing, Self-Controlling, Seeking Social Support, Accepting Responsibility, Escape-Avoidance, Planful Problem Solving and Positive Reappraisal) with that of work-life conflict. The primary data was collected using a structured questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed among 347 respondents. The study revealed that coping strategy plays a major role as an arbitrator in accomplishing Work-life balance and employee stress level reduction.
