Abstract
Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) poses a major clinical challenge, with atypical pathogens contributing to a notable percentage of cases. Early identification of Legionella is essential for prompt therapeutic intervention. The Urinary Antigen Test (UAT), which targets Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1, stands out as a widely used and advantageous method for Legionella diagnosis due to its simplicity and ability to detect the pathogen even after antibiotic therapy.
