Abstract

Purpose: Dose delivered to dysphagia/aspiration related structures (DARS) are gaining importance in radiotherapy (RT) of head and neck cancers. Intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) is a useful tool to limit dose to these structures while giving therapeutic dose to target volume. We evaluated the role of brachytherapy in combination with conventional RT to limit dose delivered to DARS.
