Abstract
In the experiments on Wistar rats, the existence of the specific androgen binding protein and the competitive interaction of anabolic steroids with glucocorticoid receptor in skeletal muscle was confirmed. During endurance training, the weekly administration of retabolil (nandrolone decanoate) promoted the improvement of physical working capacity, excluded the pronounced heart and adrenal hypertrophy and diminished the decrease in myosin Mg 2+-ATPase of red muscles.
