Abstract

The article examines the system of organization of prosecutorial supervision over the process of consideration of cases of a political nature in the second half of the 19th - early 20th century in Russia (on the example of the Kursk province). The article analyzes the basic rules for conducting an inquiry on state crimes, the role of the prosecutor’s office in investigating this category of cases, and other supervisory powers of prosecutors related to the organization of countering the spread of political crime.
