Abstract

Mr. President, Distinguished Guests, Visitors, and Fellow Members of the Radiological Society of North America: The honor of speaking before you, this evening, is fully appreciated. Your interests in the activities of the Medical Department of our Army are held in high respect by the Surgeon General. He has directed me to convey to you his greetings. Today, every American has developed a conception of his responsibilities and his particular part in consummating the great task with which we are confronted. Radiologists and their manufacturing confreres have always been at the top in patriotic enthusiasm. The interests and activities of our radiological organizations—the American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, and our Radiological Society of North America—have demonstrated the truth of this statement.
