Abstract

Humlum, Ole: Rock glacier types on Disko, central West Greenland. Geografisk Tidskrift 82: 59–66, Copenhagen, October 1, 1982 Lobate-, tongue-shaped-, and piedmont rock glaciers are described from the island Disko (53° W 70°N), central West Greeland. The study is based on interpretation of aerial photographs and preliminary field investigations. The lobate rock glacier type is classified as talus-derived and ice-cemented. Tongue-shaped- and piedmont rock glaciers are classified as glacier-derived and ice-cored.
