Abstract

This paper is concerned with the robust stabilization of uncertain linear systems with both state and input delays. Successive observers based controllers are designed to predict the future states so that the input delay that can be arbitrarily large yet bounded is completely compensated. It is shown that the uncertain linear time-delay system can be stabilized if and only if the simple linear time-delay system is asymptotically stable. Moreover, the state feedback gains and observer gains are provided by the linear matrix inequalities approach. Finally, a numerical example is carried out to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed controllers.
