Abstract

In this paper, robust stability of a dual closed-loop direct current motor control system with uncertainties is investigated. In direct current motor control system, heating of the armature causes usually change of armature resistance, which is particularly severe for high voltages and currents, and there exist many uncertainties in actuator. The system model with unknown but bounded uncertainties is given. The robust stable controllers are designed by using robust right coprime factorization approach, where the uncertainties are regarded as an uncertain part of factorized operator term. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
