Abstract

A necessary and sufficient condition for the robust regularity, impulse-immunity and stability of generalized interval systems is presented in terms of the structured singular value μ. A generalized interval system is a generalized state-space system with structured real uncertainties. Based on linear fractional transformations, a methodical approach is devised to convert the robustness problem to a μ.-analysis problem. The approach can be successfully applied to both continuous-time and discrete-time generalized interval systems with the help of existing u-analysis tools. Two illustrative examples are given to show the feasibility of the proposed technique.
