Abstract

This paper considers the design of robust observer-based controller for a class of continuous-time nonlinear systems in the presence of disturbances. The system is presented by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) model with nonlinear consequents. The proposed T-S structure reduces the number of rules in the Sugeno model by using local nonlinear rules. To the knowledge of authors this is the first time that robust output feedback controller design of continuous time systems with nonlinear consequent T-S model is considered. The proposed controller guarantees H∞ performance of the system by using linear matrix inequality (LMI) formulation. Numerical examples illustrate effectiveness of the proposed method as compared to the existing methods in literature.
