Abstract

Direct functionalization of inert C–H bonds into various C-X (X = C, N, O, S) functionalities is one of the frontier research topics and regularly gaining popularities among the communities of scientists by providing opportunities for direct synthesis of many value aided intermediates of different natural products and pharmaceuticals. Due to high selectivity and catalytic abilities of palladium, it is regularly catching the eyes of chemists. On the canvas of comprehensive review article is full of the paradigms made by the artistic hands of the chemists on Pd-catalyzed transformation reactions (alkylation/arylation) involving C(sp2/sp3)-H functionalization reactions. This review is the summarization of the latest accomplishments of Pd-catalyzed C-X (C/O/N/S) bond formation reactions through C(sp2/sp3)-H functionalization with a proposed reaction mechanism is briefly discussed.
