Abstract

In the Applications where the high-quality and low harmonic distortion output voltage is required, LC filters are used at the output of inverters. The output of the three-phase inverter can be controlled by various control techniques. In this paper, a robust enhanced model predictive control (E-MPC) scheme with two step prediction model is used to control the output voltage of the three-phase inverter. The output voltage of the inverter is controlled by using an exceptional time model. All the possible switching states are predicted by the MPC controller and then the selection of switching states is made based on the measurement of the cost function. The output voltage and filter current are estimated by the load current. Hence, there is no requirement for modulators and internal current control loops. The designed controller is simulated using Matlab/Simulink under the effect of linear and nonlinear loads. The results show the effectiveness of the designed controller.
