Abstract

This paper introduces a robust model-based unit control and regulation concept, with a clear distinction between feed-forward control, model-based reference value determination and feed-back control. This concept results in a robust plant operation for internal power plant disturbances and external power plant influences, not only during normal interconnected operation, but also in case of isolated operation. To increase the efficiency of the power plant, the control concept also includes a regulated deactivation of pre heaters as well as of heatcondensers in the case of co-gene ration operation to comply with the primary control requirements. These spinning reserve measures can be activated instead of permanently throttling the HP-turbine valve or additionally when the throttle valve is driven in opened position.
