Abstract

This paper addresses a robust fuzzy controller design for nonlinear systems with parametric uncertainties with consideration of the control effort. A Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is used for fuzzy modeling of a nonlinear system. Sufficient conditions are derived not only for robust stabilization of the nonlinear system in the sense of Lyapunov asymptotic stability but also for setting a bound on the control input signal. The T-S fuzzy model of the chaotic Lorenz system which has complex nonlinearity is considered as a system to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method through a numerical simulation.
