Abstract

In order to protect images from unauthentic distortions, the watermarking methods provide a noteworthy solution to such problems. This paper proposes a new image watermarking method in Discrete Fractional Fourier Transform (DFrFT) domain. In this scheme, the original cover image is transformed into the frequency components using DFrFT. The binary watermark is embedded in various blocks of such components using a quantization based approach. However, the extraction of watermark bits is performed using adaptive thresholding methodology. The experimental analysis of the proposed scheme is performed over various standard images. The observed results are found satisfactory fulfilling the requirements of robustness and imperceptibility. In order to protect images from unauthentic distortions, the watermarking methods provide a noteworthy solution to such problems.
