Abstract

This paper introduces the architecture of a robust communication framework, which allows high quality data exchange for a distributed neutron detection system that works in a radiating environment. This distributed system needs a reliable data transfer infrastructure, since the latter is exposed to radiation as well as the sensing electronics but must keep error resilient. For this purpose, we introduced some redundancy in data transfer and provided diagnostic protocols to identify the faulty elements of the system and, when required, to isolate them.
