Abstract

This paper focuses on linear systems subjected to a new class of time-varying parameter uncertainty. The parameter uncertainty under consideration generalizes both positive real and norm bounded uncertainty in some sense, and is a more realistic description of uncertainty for many practical systems. The problems of robust stability analysis, robust stabilization, and robust H ∞ control for this class of uncertain systems are studied. It is shown that the above robust control problems can be converted into associated scaled H ∞ control ones.
