Abstract

This paper considers the sliding mode control of uncertain systems with single, time-varying state-delay, submitted to additive perturbations (possibly non-vanishing). The sliding surface is designed so to maximize the calculable set of admissible delays (this means, those which don't destabilize the relay-delay system). The conditions for the existence of the sliding regime are studied by using a Liapunov-Razumikhin function. LMIs are used for the optimization procedure. An example illustrates the proposed method.
