Abstract

A new design procedure for robust control of nonlinear systems transformable into the strict-feedback form is proposed. The controller comprises a robust globally bounded state feedback and a high-gain observer. A characteristic of the controller is that it provides an estimate of certain lumped modelling error. Examples are presented to demonstrate the performance of the proposed control algorithm.
