Abstract

This paper is concerned with quadratic stability and stability with disturbance attenuation of a class of uncertain fuzzy systems with time-delay. Fuzzy systems description is useful to approximate nonlinear systems and thus uncertain fuzzy system can more carefully treat nonlinear systems with parameter uncertainty. Moreover, uncertain systems with time delays can describe a wider class of nonlinear systems. Our main results are the relationships between robust H/sub /spl infin// control problem, robust stabilization via output feedback and a scaled H/sub /spl infin// control problem for fuzzy systems with time-delay. These imply that quadratic stabilizing controllers for uncertain fuzzy systems with time-delay can be designed by solving H/sub /spl infin// control problems for fuzzy systems with time-delay.
