Abstract

Adnexal masses are found in women of all ages. About 5-10% of women in the US will undergo a surgery for a suspected ovarian mass during their lifetime, of which only 13-21% are malignant. Minimal invasive surgery is a feasible option for large adnexal masses complex adnexal masses depending on the expertise of the surgeon. Robotic-assisted and conventional laparoscopic surgery are comparable but has robotic surgery has its inherent advantages.
