Abstract

Study Objective This video is a demonstration of Radical Hysterectomy done robotically. Design Case report. Setting Patient was put in semi- lithotomy position. Patients or Participants A 56 years old post menopausal woman with parity 4, Live birth 4, all being vaginal delivery underwent examination due to excessive vagina discharge. On examination, 2 × 2 cm friable mass was seen on posterior lip of cervix. On biopsy, it was proved to be squamous cell carcinoma. On imaging, a hyper intense mass was seen limited to cervix. Interventions Radical hysterectomy is considered the standard treatment for patients with early-stage cervical cancer. Understanding the anatomy of parametrium and para cervix along with meticulous dissection are the key factors for optimal Tumor clearance. Measurements and Main Results The operative time was 120 minutes and the blood loss was 40 ml. Post operative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged after three days. Conclusion Minimally invasive surgery especially Robotic surgery is a better and safe option for surgical treatment of cancer cervix.
