Abstract

Rubber band traction technique is our small technical innovation while performing uncinate dissection and complete mesopancreas dissection during Minimally invasive Pancreaticoduodenectomy. The proximal jejunum is divided in the supracolic compartment for easier identification and ligation of the first jejunal vessels. After transecting the pancreas, 2 rubber bands are taken inside the abdomen, and are stitched to the terminal part of duodenum and proximal jejunum and retracted to the right lateral aspect of abdominal wall.
